What the heck is yoSmarty?
yoSmarty is the only place where you can give your take on how you feel about a topic any topic. Life. Philosophy. Fear. Relationships. Money. And whatever else you're passionate about and feel needs to be said. We're giving you the ultimate opportunity to have your voice heard in a big, bold way (just think of us as the YouTube of debate).

How do I get a free account?
It's easy! Click on "Sign-up for free" link at the top right of the site. Follow the instructions, enter your information and Bam! You are in! You must signup for an account to submit a video or to vote.

How do I upload a Video?
To upload a video you must have signed up for a free account. Once logged into your account click on the "Upload Video" button to start the upload process.  You must choose one General Topic and Sub Topic for each video that is uploaded. Once your video is uploaded it will immediately go through the "processor" which will process the video into the proper format as well as check to ensure that your video meets the "yoSmarty guidelines". Once the video is processed and screened you will receive an email acknowledging that your video was "accepted".

Does my video have to be cleared before it's posted?
Yes, because yoSmarty is used by a variety of ages we take pride in monitoring the content to ensure that it meets all "yoSmarty" guidelines.  This process is to ensure that yoSmarty content is of highest quality and enhances the overall yoSmarty experience!  Once accepted, you will be notified within 24 hours via email that your video is live to the public. What if my uploaded video gets denied?
It's probably because it does not agree with yoSmarty's Terms of Use.

What kind of video format can I upload?
The yoSmarty site can accept a video in the MOV, AVI, MP4, WMV, FLV, DivX, MPG, 3GP, Quicktime and many other formats with a max of 300MB. Videos should be no longer than 20 minutes (5 minutes is preferred).

How does my video get entered into the contest?
Your video is automatically entered into the current contest when you upload it to yoSmarty.com and only if it is accepted.

How do I win a prize?
There are three ways to win. Click here to see the current contest information.

How does my video get into the Cheese Bin?
Your video will go into the Cheese category when your video is voted "Cheese" over 50% time.

How do I battle a video?
If you disagree with a video, challenge it to a battle with your own. Click on the "Battle" icon next to any video to challenge it with one of your own.

How do I support a video?
If you see an especially smart video with the same topic as yours, click the Support icon to link it to your own similarly-minded creation. Hey, great minds think alike.. Think of it as your video entourage. You can support as many videos as you would like!

How do I add videos to my playlist?
Click on the "Add to playlist" button at the bottom of each video or move your mouse over the thumbnail of the video and click on the " " button. You must be logged in before a video will be added to your playlist.

Do I have to have to register to vote on a video?
Yes. You have to have a free account to vote on a video. You can only vote once per video.

What is an Avatar and a Gravatar?
An Avatar or Gravatar is a photo, icon or graphic image that represents and identifies you. You can customize your profile with an avatar in your account profile.

What if I don't see a topic appropriate for my video?
